Kollywood hottie Reema Sen has changed her name to Reemma, obviously, to improve her luck.
She says the name change has made things better for her. At last, her `Aayirathil Oruvan`, long delayed due to various reasons, is getting ready for a release and her look in the movie has wowed those who saw the trailer of the film.
She says that she was scared to work with director Selvaraghavan in the beginning, but found that her fears were unfounded. "Of course, he is a demanding director. But a good director should be like that," she says. Reemma says she is thankful to cameraman Ramji for capturing her so beautifully.
In `Aayirathi Oruvan`, Karthi and Andrea are her co-stars in the lead.

Ajith`s car chase stuns expert
Recently, while shooting a car chase sequence in France for `Asal`, a foreign stunt director asked Ajith to give way for his body double.
For, the sequence being shot required some very risky manouevres. But, Ajith insisted on doing the scene himself. And, to the amazement of the director, the superstar completed the shot very easily. The stunt director had never seen an actor controlling a car at high speeds so easily.
Ajithkumar is an accomplished race driver. He has participated in Formula Asia championship in 2003 and took part in several competitions in India and abroad. The car chase would be one of the highlights of the movie, said our source in the `Asal` unit.
The film stars Sameera Reddy and Bhavana in the female lead. Saran directs the high voltage action thriller.

The Telugu version of `Nadodigal`, titled `Sambho Shiva Shambo `, is almost complete and may release during Sankranti.

Director Selvaraghavan has made it clear that Andrea Jeremiah will not be among the cast in his next film, starring Vikram in the lead.

Telugu actor Narra Venkateswara Rao (62) passed away at his residence on December 27. He had been suffering from cancer.

Komal says though he is very much comfortable with humour, he is scared of satire.
"I was even offered `Kallara Santhe`. But I did not want to do because it was a political satire. `Director`s Special` is also a satire and I think the concept and canvas of the film is huge and beyond my capacity. I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

`I watched people`s reaction in theatres in Bangalore and I also visited theatres outside the city on Saturday. I was quite ecstatic to see positive reaction to my film. People working in the theatres told me that they never witnessed such positive and enthusiastic response to a film. I saw lot of female audience in the theatres,` said Ganesh.
He visited theatres screening `Maleyali Jotheyali` in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. The actor is quite happy that the trade circle is also talking about the film`s success.
`Many people are discussing the possible reasons behind the success of the film. What clinched the success is the quality, we did not compromise on that,` said Ganesh.
`I think everyone associated with the film have worked very well. Preetham Gubbi`s script, Kittanna`s camera work and V. Harikrishna`s music were the perfect ingredients for the film,` he added.
The actor is set to begin shooting for his next untitled film, to be directed by Mussanje Mahesh, from Wednesday in Mysore. He plans to visit theatres there as well.
Gubbi, who has directed `Maleyali Jotheyali`, too, is happy with the response.
`It has been a pleasant experience for us wherever we are going. We have just finished visiting theatres in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. We found lot of women and family audience encouraging our film. I think family audience are visiting the theatres in large numbers,` said Gubbi.

Kollywood circles are abuzz with speculation that the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie would feature glam doll Nayantara as the female lead.

Recently, while shooting a car chase sequence in France for `Asal`, a foreign stunt director asked Ajith to give way for his body double.
For, the sequence being shot required some very risky manouevres. But, Ajith insisted on doing the scene himself. And, to the amazement of the director, the superstar completed the shot very easily. The stunt director had never seen an actor controlling a car at high speeds so easily.
Ajithkumar is an accomplished race driver. He has participated in Formula Asia championship in 2003 and took part in several competitions in India and abroad. The car chase would be one of the highlights of the movie, said our source in the `Asal` unit.

Director Selvaraghavan has made it clear that Andrea Jeremiah will not be among the cast in his next film, starring Vikram in the lead.

Komal says though he is very much comfortable with humour, he is scared of satire.
"I was even offered `Kallara Santhe`. But I did not want to do because it was a political satire. `Director`s Special` is also a satire and I think the concept and canvas of the film is huge and beyond my capacity. I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

`I watched people`s reaction in theatres in Bangalore and I also visited theatres outside the city on Saturday. I was quite ecstatic to see positive reaction to my film. People working in the theatres told me that they never witnessed such positive and enthusiastic response to a film. I saw lot of female audience in the theatres,` said Ganesh.
He visited theatres screening `Maleyali Jotheyali` in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. The actor is quite happy that the trade circle is also talking about the film`s success.
`Many people are discussing the possible reasons behind the success of the film. What clinched the success is the quality, we did not compromise on that,` said Ganesh.
`I think everyone associated with the film have worked very well. Preetham Gubbi`s script, Kittanna`s camera work and V. Harikrishna`s music were the perfect ingredients for the film,` he added.
The actor is set to begin shooting for his next untitled film, to be directed by Mussanje Mahesh, from Wednesday in Mysore. He plans to visit theatres there as well.
Gubbi, who has directed `Maleyali Jotheyali`, too, is happy with the response.

Vijay starrer ‘Vettaikkaran’ is having a huge opening at the B.O. in south India.
Even in Kerala, where it was released with 75 prints, a record for a Vijay film, it has had a great opening. The film by debutant Babu Sivan has Ilaiya Thalapathi doing his typical song - dance-fight routine with aplomb. Anushka Shetty, though has an insignificant role, oozes oomph and is a treat to watch.
The grand opening came as a breather to the superstar, who was reeling under back to back flops in `Kuruvi`, `Azhagiya Tamizh Magan` and `Villu`. The actor has thanked Kalanidhi Maran for promoting the film so well.

Nayantara in Kamal Haasan movie?
Kollywood circles are abuzz with speculation that the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie would feature glam doll Nayantara as the female lead.
According to sources, this would be a romantic comedy directed by K.S. Ravikumar. Red Giant Movies would reportedly produce the flick.
Early reports about this project had Tamannaah Bhatia playing the lead. Gossip doves suggest that it was Prabhu Deva who proposed Nayantara for the role.

Recently, while shooting a car chase sequence in France for `Asal`, a foreign stunt director asked Ajith to give way for his body double.
For, the sequence being shot required some very risky manouevres. But, Ajith insisted on doing the scene himself. And, to the amazement of the director, the superstar completed the shot very easily. The stunt director had never seen an actor controlling a car at high speeds so easily.
Ajithkumar is an accomplished race driver. He has participated in Formula Asia championship in 2003 and took part in several competitions in India and abroad. The car chase would be one of the highlights of the movie, said our source in the `Asal` unit.

Komal opts out of `Director`s Special`
Just a week after director Guru Prasad addressed a press meet to announce his `Director`s Special` with him in the lead, Komal has decided to opt out of the film; he says he had found the film and the role beyond his abilities.
Komal says though he is very much comfortable with humour, he is scared of satire.
"I was even offered `Kallara Santhe`. But I did not want to do because it was a political satire. `Director`s Special` is also a satire and I think the concept and canvas of the film is huge and beyond my capacity. I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

Ganesh had shared a great rapport with Mohanlal when they were working for `UPO`. Hence, Mohanlal had no hesitation to suggest the other`s name for the important role.
Arya was to have acted in Mohanlal`s `Casanova`, directed by Rosshan Andrews. But, the project was shelved in the beginning itself due to financial constraints. Mohanlal and Rosshan combined to make `Ividum Swargamaanu`, scheduled to release this Christmas.

Golden Star Ganesh is elated after his latest release `Maleyali Jotheyali` has been lapped up by the audiences.
The actor says that the film worked because they didn`t compromise on the quality of the content.
`I watched people`s reaction in theatres in Bangalore and I also visited theatres outside the city on Saturday. I was quite ecstatic to see positive reaction to my film. People working in the theatres told me that they never witnessed such positive and enthusiastic response to a film. I saw lot of female audience in the theatres,` said Ganesh.
He visited theatres screening `Maleyali Jotheyali` in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. The actor is quite happy that the trade circle is also talking about the film`s success.
`Many people are discussing the possible reasons behind the success of the film. What clinched the success is the quality, we did not compromise on that,` said Ganesh.
`I think everyone associated with the film have worked very well. Preetham Gubbi`s script, Kittanna`s camera work and V. Harikrishna`s music were the perfect ingredients for the film,` he added.
The actor is set to begin shooting for his next untitled film, to be directed by Mussanje Mahesh, from Wednesday in Mysore. He plans to visit theatres there as well.
Gubbi, who has directed `Maleyali Jotheyali`, too, is happy with the response.
`It has been a pleasant experience for us wherever we are going. We have just finished visiting theatres in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. We found lot of women and family audience encouraging our film. I think family audience are visiting the theatres in large numbers,` said Gubbi.

Kollywood circles are abuzz with speculation that the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie would feature glam doll Nayantara as the female lead.
According to sources, this would be a romantic comedy directed by K.S. Ravikumar. Red Giant Movies would reportedly produce the flick.

Recently, while shooting a car chase sequence in France for `Asal`, a foreign stunt director asked Ajith to give way for his body double.
For, the sequence being shot required some very risky manouevres. But, Ajith insisted on doing the scene himself. And, to the amazement of the director, the superstar completed the shot very easily. The stunt director had never seen an actor controlling a car at high speeds so easily.
Ajithkumar is an accomplished race driver. He has participated in Formula Asia championship in 2003 and took part in several competitions in India and abroad. The car chase would be one of the highlights of the movie, said our source in the `Asal` unit.

Komal opts out of `Director`s Special`
Just a week after director Guru Prasad addressed a press meet to announce his `Director`s Special` with him in the lead, Komal has decided to opt out of the film; he says he had found the film and the role beyond his abilities.
Komal says though he is very much comfortable with humour, he is scared of satire.
"I was even offered `Kallara Santhe`. But I did not want to do because it was a political satire. `Director`s Special` is also a satire and I think the concept and canvas of the film is huge and beyond my capacity. I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

The actor says that the film worked because they didn`t compromise on the quality of the content.
`I watched people`s reaction in theatres in Bangalore and I also visited theatres outside the city on Saturday. I was quite ecstatic to see positive reaction to my film. People working in the theatres told me that they never witnessed such positive and enthusiastic response to a film. I saw lot of female audience in the theatres,` said Ganesh.
He visited theatres screening `Maleyali Jotheyali` in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. The actor is quite happy that the trade circle is also talking about the film`s success.
`Many people are discussing the possible reasons behind the success of the film. What clinched the success is the quality, we did not compromise on that,` said Ganesh.
`I think everyone associated with the film have worked very well. Preetham Gubbi`s script, Kittanna`s camera work and V. Harikrishna`s music were the perfect ingredients for the film,` he added.
The actor is set to begin shooting for his next untitled film, to be directed by Mussanje Mahesh, from Wednesday in Mysore. He plans to visit theatres there as well.
Gubbi, who has directed `Maleyali Jotheyali`, too, is happy with the response.

Kollywood circles are abuzz with speculation that the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie would feature glam doll Nayantara as the female lead.

For, the sequence being shot required some very risky manouevres. But, Ajith insisted on doing the scene himself. And, to the amazement of the director, the superstar completed the shot very easily. The stunt director had never seen an actor controlling a car at high speeds so easily.
Ajithkumar is an accomplished race driver. He has participated in Formula Asia championship in 2003 and took part in several competitions in India and abroad. The car chase would be one of the highlights of the movie, said our source in the `Asal` unit.

Even before the official launch of the film audio, the music of `Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya` (VTV) is creating waves among A R Rahman fans.

Shakeela to tie the knot
Shakeela, known for her `B` grade movies in Malayalam, will tie the knot in July 2010.
Her long time lover, a Chennai-based Industrialist, is the bridegroom. She announced her decision before the press at Nachiyarpuram where she was shooting for a film.
The actress, who has completed more than 100 films, said that the demise of her mother made her "very lonely and unsafe." Hence her decision to marry her lover.
Shakeela denied reports saying that Mammootty and Mohanlal were the reasons behind her exit from Mollywood. The actual reason, she says, was "my season in Mollywood was over. And hence I have changed my nature of roles too."

Komal opts out of `Director`s Special`
Just a week after director Guru Prasad addressed a press meet to announce his `Director`s Special` with him in the lead, Komal has decided to opt out of the film; he says he had found the film and the role beyond his abilities.
Komal says though he is very much comfortable with humour, he is scared of satire.
"I was even offered `Kallara Santhe`. But I did not want to do because it was a political satire. `Director`s Special` is also a satire and I think the concept and canvas of the film is huge and beyond my capacity. I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

Ganesh Venkatraman, who performed brilliantly in `Unnai Pol Oruvan`, has been signed up to play an important role in Mohanlal`s next.
Arya, who was finalised for the role, backed out later as he got a call from his mentor Bala. And the chance went to Ganesh, who debuted in Kollywood with Radha Mohan`s `Abhiyum Naanum` and shot to limelight with just his second film, `UPO`.
Ganesh had shared a great rapport with Mohanlal when they were working for `UPO`. Hence, Mohanlal had no hesitation to suggest the other`s name for the important role.
Arya was to have acted in Mohanlal`s `Casanova`, directed by Rosshan Andrews. But, the project was shelved in the beginning itself due to financial constraints. Mohanlal and Rosshan combined to make `Ividum Swargamaanu`, scheduled to release this Christmas.

Golden Star Ganesh is elated after his latest release `Maleyali Jotheyali` has been lapped up by the audiences.
The actor says that the film worked because they didn`t compromise on the quality of the content.
`I watched people`s reaction in theatres in Bangalore and I also visited theatres outside the city on Saturday. I was quite ecstatic to see positive reaction to my film. People working in the theatres told me that they never witnessed such positive and enthusiastic response to a film. I saw lot of female audience in the theatres,` said Ganesh.
He visited theatres screening `Maleyali Jotheyali` in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. The actor is quite happy that the trade circle is also talking about the film`s success.
`Many people are discussing the possible reasons behind the success of the film. What clinched the success is the quality, we did not compromise on that,` said Ganesh.
`I think everyone associated with the film have worked very well. Preetham Gubbi`s script, Kittanna`s camera work and V. Harikrishna`s music were the perfect ingredients for the film,` he added.
The actor is set to begin shooting for his next untitled film, to be directed by Mussanje Mahesh, from Wednesday in Mysore. He plans to visit theatres there as well.
Gubbi, who has directed `Maleyali Jotheyali`, too, is happy with the response.
`It has been a pleasant experience for us wherever we are going. We have just finished visiting theatres in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. We found lot of women and family audience encouraging our film. I think family audience are visiting the theatres in large numbers,` said Gubbi.

Vijay starrer ‘Vettaikkaran’ is having a huge opening at the B.O. in south India.
Even in Kerala, where it was released with 75 prints, a record for a Vijay film, it has had a great opening. The film by debutant Babu Sivan has Ilaiya Thalapathi doing his typical song - dance-fight routine with aplomb. Anushka Shetty, though has an insignificant role, oozes oomph and is a treat to watch.
The grand opening came as a breather to the superstar, who was reeling under back to back flops in `Kuruvi`, `Azhagiya Tamizh Magan` and `Villu`. The actor has thanked Kalanidhi Maran for promoting the film so well.

Nayantara in Kamal Haasan movie?
Kollywood circles are abuzz with speculation that the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie would feature glam doll Nayantara as the female lead.
According to sources, this would be a romantic comedy directed by K.S. Ravikumar. Red Giant Movies would reportedly produce the flick.
Early reports about this project had Tamannaah Bhatia playing the lead. Gossip doves suggest that it was Prabhu Deva who proposed Nayantara for the role.

Ajith`s car chase stuns expert
Recently, while shooting a car chase sequence in France for `Asal`, a foreign stunt director asked Ajith to give way for his body double.
For, the sequence being shot required some very risky manouevres. But, Ajith insisted on doing the scene himself. And, to the amazement of the director, the superstar completed the shot very easily. The stunt director had never seen an actor controlling a car at high speeds so easily.
Ajithkumar is an accomplished race driver. He has participated in Formula Asia championship in 2003 and took part in several competitions in India and abroad. The car chase would be one of the highlights of the movie, said our source in the `Asal` unit.
The film stars Sameera Reddy and Bhavana in the female lead. Saran directs the high voltage action thriller.

Komal opts out of `Director`s Special`
Just a week after director Guru Prasad addressed a press meet to announce his `Director`s Special` with him in the lead, Komal has decided to opt out of the film; he says he had found the film and the role beyond his abilities.
Komal says though he is very much comfortable with humour, he is scared of satire.
"I was even offered `Kallara Santhe`. But I did not want to do because it was a political satire. `Director`s Special` is also a satire and I think the concept and canvas of the film is huge and beyond my capacity. I found the one line of the film very interesting, but when I heard the screenplay, I realised that I would be unable to do it," said Komal.
Komal also says that it is better to opt out the project before it begins rather than complaining after everything is out. He says that it purely his decision to opt out of the project and there was no pressure from anyone.

Ganesh Venkatraman, who performed brilliantly in `Unnai Pol Oruvan`, has been signed up to play an important role in Mohanlal`s next.
Arya, who was finalised for the role, backed out later as he got a call from his mentor Bala. And the chance went to Ganesh, who debuted in Kollywood with Radha Mohan`s `Abhiyum Naanum` and shot to limelight with just his second film, `UPO`.
Ganesh had shared a great rapport with Mohanlal when they were working for `UPO`. Hence, Mohanlal had no hesitation to suggest the other`s name for the important role.
Arya was to have acted in Mohanlal`s `Casanova`, directed by Rosshan Andrews. But, the project was shelved in the beginning itself due to financial constraints. Mohanlal and Rosshan combined to make `Ividum Swargamaanu`, scheduled to release this Christmas.
Now, when they have decided to revive the project, Arya got an offer from Bala, who made him an actor to reckon with his `Naan Kadavul`. The actor, very keen to establish himself in Kollywood, could not resist the offer from Bala, says our source.

Ganesh`s `Maleyali Jotheyali` hits jackpot
Golden Star Ganesh is elated after his latest release `Maleyali Jotheyali` has been lapped up by the audiences.
The actor says that the film worked because they didn`t compromise on the quality of the content.
`I watched people`s reaction in theatres in Bangalore and I also visited theatres outside the city on Saturday. I was quite ecstatic to see positive reaction to my film. People working in the theatres told me that they never witnessed such positive and enthusiastic response to a film. I saw lot of female audience in the theatres,` said Ganesh.
He visited theatres screening `Maleyali Jotheyali` in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. The actor is quite happy that the trade circle is also talking about the film`s success.
`Many people are discussing the possible reasons behind the success of the film. What clinched the success is the quality, we did not compromise on that,` said Ganesh.
`I think everyone associated with the film have worked very well. Preetham Gubbi`s script, Kittanna`s camera work and V. Harikrishna`s music were the perfect ingredients for the film,` he added.
The actor is set to begin shooting for his next untitled film, to be directed by Mussanje Mahesh, from Wednesday in Mysore. He plans to visit theatres there as well.
Gubbi, who has directed `Maleyali Jotheyali`, too, is happy with the response.
`It has been a pleasant experience for us wherever we are going. We have just finished visiting theatres in Chitradurga, Davanagere and Ranebennur. We found lot of women and family audience encouraging our film. I think family audience are visiting the theatres in large numbers,` said Gubbi.

The talkie part of the film will completed soon; only a few songs are left to be picturised. Gopimohan has penned the script and Murella Prasad cranks the camera.

‘Vettaikkaran’ opens big
Vijay starrer ‘Vettaikkaran’ is having a huge opening at the B.O. in south India.
Even in Kerala, where it was released with 75 prints, a record for a Vijay film, it has had a great opening. The film by debutant Babu Sivan has Ilaiya Thalapathi doing his typical song - dance-fight routine with aplomb. Anushka Shetty, though has an insignificant role, oozes oomph and is a treat to watch.
The grand opening came as a breather to the superstar, who was reeling under back to back flops in `Kuruvi`, `Azhagiya Tamizh Magan` and `Villu`. The actor has thanked Kalanidhi Maran for promoting the film so well.

Nayantara in Kamal Haasan movie?
Kollywood circles are abuzz with speculation that the upcoming Kamal Haasan movie would feature glam doll Nayantara as the female lead.
According to sources, this would be a romantic comedy directed by K.S. Ravikumar. Red Giant Movies would reportedly produce the flick.
Early reports about this project had Tamannaah Bhatia playing the lead. Gossip doves suggest that it was Prabhu Deva who proposed Nayantara for the role.
